Meewasin Valley Authority Fund Raising

Can’t say no to cute.

Meewasin is the river valley natural area in the heart of Saskatoon, SK. People there experience it daily; 67 square kilometers of land and more than 105 kilometers of established trail, plus sites that help people to connect to nature. The Meewasin Valley Authority exists to balance human use and conservation in Meewasin.

It costs a lot to protect nature. Accessible, educational, and sustainable nature costs even more.

Without public donations Meewasin would struggle.

Meewasin’s nature does it’s own fund raising.

Folks know and love Meewasin; we didn’t need to tell them why it matters. We just had to ask for help.

Meewasin’s animals, insects, and plants (performed by retail puppets—with permission from the manufacturer) raised money and collected donations.

Our ads grabbed attention, announced that Meewasin needed donations, and asked them to give. That’s it. Landing pages, PR, and existing audience understanding took care of the rest.

A concept with more legs than a millipede. (Budget was limited. Ideas were not.)

Someone enjoying shade rejects the idea of donating. The tree they are under moves its branches, exposing them to the sun. And beans them with an acorn.

Enjoying the trail? Well, these geese would be happy to let you pass... if you pay a toll.

Squirrels don't just collect nuts and seeds to store. They sell them. Like a bake sale, or artisanal trail-mix.
